Minnesota Gemstone Nuggets was started over
50-years ago by Lorraine and Harold Clementson as a mom and pop business
providing tumble-polished North American gemstones for the tourist trade.
The Clementson’s priority was to build a business with a reputation for
fast and friendly service.
The Zacher family
purchased Minnesota Gemstone Nuggets in January 2002. Jason
and Shane Zacher are committed to carrying on the same traditions of the Clementsons
by focusing on customer needs with fast and friendly service.

Miner Jack Says:
"Yellowstone River Agate:
Is an
interesting agate found in the bottom of the
Yellowstone River. The Yellowstone River flows northward from Wyoming
through Yellowstone National Park and across Montana where it joins the
Missouri River. Each season, these agate nodules weather out of the
mountains and wash into the river where they can be found. Agate’s chief
component is silica and is from the quartz family. Agate is a
microscopically crystallized variety of quartz. Some pieces of
Yellowstone River agate have deposits of manganese in them that
sometimes resemble plants or moss. Origin: Montana"
