"Orthoceras: Orthoceras were marine creatures first appearing
505 million years ago. They are similar to the present day squid.
These sea animals could move by squirting water out of their body
cavity. They swam in warm shallow seas eating small animals. Some
orthoceras grew to be about 6 feet long. In the fossil, you may
notice chambers where the animal lived. "
