Peacock Copper:
The actual name for this stone is Boraite; however, it is commonly
called Peacock Ore or Peacock Copper. This is a natural copper ore that
has been treated to bring out the color. It has a metallic luster and a
purplish and bluish iridescence. The color of the stone gives it the
name peacock for its many bright colors. Found commonly in Arizona and
Mexico, it is generally most valuable as a specimen. It is generally
found in hydrothermal veins in association with chalcopyrite and
chalcosine.
